Grady Britton launches Twuffer for Twitter

Portland advertising agency Grady Britton announced today the launch of a new Web site called Twuffer, a new application for the popular microblogging site, Twitter.com. Twuffer, a Twitter buffer, allows users to pre-compose tweets and schedule their release to show up at designated times on Twitter.
Unlike its competitors, Twuffer does not require people to create full profiles in order to use the application. Users can visit the site, sign in as they would on Twitter, and begin loading bins of pre-written, post-dated tweets right away.
Grady Britton’s interactive department discovered the need for Twuffer after noticing many local companies using the social network for promotional messaging purposes. Once Grady Britton received permission from Twitter.com to use the social network’s Application Programming Interface (API), all things were in place to develop the application and begin a WOM campaign.

Thanks for spreading the word about Twuffer. We’re looking forward to see how people are using the app for both personal and professional purposes. Keep in touch. Cheers!
Thanks for sending the info to me about the new service. Apps like Twuffer turn other apps, like Twitter, into managable new media opportunities for those of us who are not “bleeding edge” adopters of new technology and get overwhelmed easily. Thanks again and please keep in touch.

Interesting… however people wont think you are a prolific tweeter, or up all night, if it’s coming “from Twuffer,” they will know that it is an automated post. Some people wont care, others will view it as impersonal/commercial. Good tool depending on the application. Also, wish the time selections were a bit wider. (The landing page suggests using this for a timed scavenger hunt… that’s going to take a while if you get clues just once and hour, did I miss something here?) Also, who tweets only on the hour…. ?
